On Monday, April 21 our very own Shoes That Fit Executive Director Roni Lomeli was honored in New York as Cookie Magazine's Smart Cookie Reader's Choice Award winner! She was recognized for her extraordinary contributions to Shoes That Fit and making a difference in the lives of children in need. You can view Roni's acceptance speech at this wonderful event!

This award will help bring visibility to the needs of the children we serve and Roni is thrilled that many more children will receive new shoes because of this wonderful exposure in Cookie Magazine on news stands now!

The celebration was hosted by Deborah Roberts, a correspondent of the 20/20 television news program and Roni was presented with a $35,000 donation for Shoes That Fit from Citi as well as $5,000 from Avon, a co-sponsor of the Smart Cookie Award.

Roni would also like to thank all of our donors, volunteers, liaisons and supporters. Shoes That Fit could not have won this award without your support!
