Donating shoes though Shoes That Fit is more than giving a comfortable or functional shoe, this is a gift of confidence and paying it forward. Growing up, as immigrant children, we relied on organizations for clothes and food. Today, we make social impact a foundational cornerstone at the center of our purpose.

Why You Give

Shoes That Fit is an amazing organization, and I am delighted to partner with them for Glendora Unified School District. As a mom it is unthinkable to me to even comprehend a child who doesn’t have a decent pair of school athletic shoes. Providing shoes and socks to kids in need in our schools warms my heart. To date, we have given away over 700 pairs of shoes, and we will keep going!! Happy 30th Anniversary Shoes That Fit!!

—Pam Richards, Glendora, CA

Giving back to the community and helping those less fortunate is a strong part of our firm’s culture. Our firm and employees feel good about raising funds – and distributing shoes purchased with those funds – to provide children with brand new athletic shoes that properly fit. In turn, we know the children whom Shoes That Fit serves will benefit from an increase in physical activity, self-esteem, confidence and overall happiness.

—Andrea Kerton, Boston, MA

I have been blessed to participate in Shoes That Fit at three separate locations! I started participating in Shoes That Fit at Augustana College in the Quad Cities with my sorority. I was then able to participate in Shoes That Fit by starting a chapter in medical school at Southern Illinois University in Springfield, IL. I just loved helping deliver the shoes to all the kids! Most recently, I’ve been blessed to participate in Shoes That Fit by starting a chapter through Basin Orthopedic Surgical Specialists in Odessa, TX. What I love about Shoes That Fit is that everything is focused on getting shoes that fit to the kiddos! Setting up a chapter, online fundraising and shoe/sock delivery is so efficient and staff is always so motivated and helpful!!

30 Years of Dignity and Confidence

In 1992, Elodie McGuirk learned that hundreds of local children attend school each day in physical pain due to ill-fitting shoes. She was moved to action, organizing a fundraiser among her coworkers to purchase shoes for them—and Shoes That Fit was born! Watch the video below to learn more about Elodie’s story.
