The Monday after Thanksgiving, 300 students at Denver’s Center for Talent Development got an exciting surprise thanks to Snooze Eatery. Not only did they get new shoes for school but they also enjoyed a visit from NFL star, Courtland Sutton!
Snooze, an AM Eatery (voted best brunch spot in Denver by Conde Nast) is an amazing Shoes That Fit partner. They're not just in Denver though. Snooze has been dishing out delicious breakfast in many major cities across the U.S. as well. The Snooze team didn't want to focus on just one city for their donation. Instead, they decided to provide shoes to students in eight cities where their restaurants are located, including San Diego and Dallas. They will also be providing breakfast for staff members at all of the schools where they're donating shoes. It’s a great way to prepare the staff for a busy day at school!
During the shoe distribution the Snooze Team surprised the school by bringing out Denver Bronco player Courtland Sutton! The wide receiver came to help pass out shoes and spread smiles. The kids were thrilled to have a football star on campus. Originally from Texas and a former player for Southern Methodist University, Courtland is dedicated to helping kids in Dallas as well as Denver. Courtland brought Broncos t-shirts for all the kids, and even took the time to individually autograph many of them. He also generously added to Snooze's original donation in Denver and Dallas by providing Adidas sneakers so that all of the students could receive brand new shoes for school.
The Broncos play at Empower Field at Mile High. We think the name is a great fit since Shoes That Fit is all about empowering kids with new shoes, so they can play and learn and reach their highest potential. The Center for Talent Development even has a special Broncos classroom where students can relax knowing they have a safe place to come together as a Broncos-loving community.
