Shoes That Fit Delaware is a group focused on bringing new athletic shoes to children growing up in poverty in the first state. Led by powerhouse volunteers Joanne and John Glauser, the group has taken on a new goal: helping all McKinney-Vento students in Delaware with brand-new shoes.

A few facts about the need in DE:

24% of DE students qualify for free/reduced lunch, a reliable indicator of a family’s economic status.

43% of Delaware families struggle to meet basic needs.

17% of Delaware children live below the poverty line.

Over 3,200 DE students are housing insecure.

If you'd like to help out in Delaware, please get in touch with Joanne at [email protected].

100 Women Who Care of Southern Delaware raise funds to bring a shoe bank to serve DE children.

Shoes That Fit’s Delaware Chapter received this special award from 100 Women Who Care Southern Delaware as part of the $12,450 that was raised from members last quarter and a $5,000 matching grant from Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation.
