Kaiser Permanente in Baldwin Park, CA helped 190 students at Cortada Elementary School in nearby El Monte with brand new shoes. The kids were so excited with their new shoes and principal, Brenda Ruiz said the gift was a “great opportunity for our students.” El Monte Superintendent Maribel Garcia declared that Kaiser and Shoes That Fit “made an impact on the lives of our students today and for the rest of their lives.”

'Tis the season for giving and that's exactly what @AveryDennisonCorporation did this winter! In addition to donating money to Shoes That Fit, team members donated their time to help us process shoes for a delivery.
Each child is measured ahead of time and a pair of shoes is selected individually for them. It's a special process and we can't thank our behind-the-scenes-helpers enough for making it happen!
So when people ask us, “Why shoes?,” the answer is easy… Just ask those who were directly touched.
School staff tell us that students who are part of the Shoes That Fit program show an 85% increase in self-esteem and a 68% participation increase in physical activities. www.shoesthatfit.org
