We are proud to announce our third year of partnering with GEICO! This nationwide partnership will provide over 10,000 pairs of brand-new athletic shoes to students in need. Over 20 schools and organizations across 15 states and Washington, D.C., have begun to receive direct shipments of shoes to distribute to their students, including students from California, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, New York, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

In addition, an event was held in July in Houston, in conjunction with GEICO and the Houston Area Urban League Young Professionals, to distribute 490 pairs of shoes to a community Boys and Girls Club. 250 additional pairs of shoes will also be given to the US Soccer Foundation, as well as 350 kids due to receive shoes at a Boys and Girls Club in Austin, TX, at the AfroTech Convention in November.

Three major events will take place at schools in Tucson, AZ, Buffalo, NY, and Lakeland, FL, in October, during which Shoes that Fit and GEICO employees will be on hand to help with the distribution.

“At GEICO, our associates are passionate about the volunteer and engagement work we do to improve our local communities and help families,” said LaDonna Bond, GEICO’s Head of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. “Through our partnership with Shoes That Fit, we’re helping students in need by providing new athletic shoes to attend school, inspiring confidence in kids as they begin a new academic year through this educational initiative.”

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with GEICO for a third year! By donating 10,000 pairs of shoes this fall, GEICO is making a tremendous impact on children's lives all across the U.S. We are proud to collaborate with a partner who believes in strengthening communities by investing in children, and we are truly thankful for their continued partnership,”- said Amy Fass CEO and Executive Director, Shoes That Fit.
