For 18 years, Rack Room Shoes has partnered with Shoes That Fit to ensure children across the country can walk into school with dignity, confidence, and joy. Since 2007, Rack Room Shoes has raised more than $16.9 million, providing over 550,000 pairs of brand-new shoes to students in need.
How It Works
Each year during back-to-school and holiday seasons, Rack Room Shoes associates invite customers to donate at checkout, with 100% of proceeds going directly to local partner schools. Rack Room Shoes then amplifies this generosity with a $100,000 annual corporate match and an additional $50,000 gift to schools not enrolled in the program. Today, more than 700 Title I schools are supported nationwide, with new schools added every year.

Rack Room Shoes’ commitment goes further than in-store donations. In 2025, Shoes That Fit was honored as the beneficiary of Rack Room Shoes' Annual Charitable Golf Tournament in Charlotte, NC, raising over $30,000 to help even more children in need. Store managers also stay connected with their partner schools year-round, strengthening relationships that last well beyond fundraising campaigns.
