Old MacDonald had a farm and on it were worms and generosity.
Not familiar with that version of the classic? Neither were we until we met Zach Brooks!
Brooks runs the Arizona Worm Farm – a farm in Phoenix that raises chickens, veggies and you guessed it, worms.
“Part of living sustainably is taking care of each other and we are trying to do that right here in our community,” says Brooks.
Brooks and his community set out with a big goal: to raise enough funds to purchase 424 pair of new athletic shoes for every student at Ignacio Conchos Elementary School in Phoenix, where 99% of its students are on the free or reduced lunch program.
Today, those shoes were delivered just in time to make sure these students start the new school year off on the right foot.
Thank you to Zach, The Arizona Worm Farm, and everyone who donated to this cause!
You can do the same thing right in your own community. Reach out to us today to find out how: [email protected]
