ZCL | Xerxes is the world’s largest manufacturer of underground fiberglass storage tanks. Equally impressive, they are a company whose core values include developing great people, doing the right thing, and engaging in the communities where employees live and work.
Those values were on full display at Thomas Edison Elementary in Anaheim, California when Xerxes Corporation team members left their workstations to deliver new athletic shoes to children in their community.
A full 200 students, from pre-K to grade 6, were measured by their teachers, and then greeted by Xerxes employees who hand delivered the new shoes to the children. With the help of Xerxes team members, the students shed their old shoes for the new.
“Sharing is caring and what better place to do that, than in your local community! The event was a wonderful experience for the Xerxes team, being able to see the joy on the children’s faces, as they received their new shoes. It is an honor to work for a company that supports such causes and to be on hand for the delivery!” –Teri Nehrenz, Xerxes Purchaser
For Xerxes employees, the school delivery is a reminder of what it means to do the right thing and engage with the community. And for the students of Thomas Edison Elementary, it will be a day they never forget!
