Friday, October 20 – Los Angeles, CA

500 kids from LA received brand new Adidas sneakers and an invitation to the Treats-N-Suites Halloween Bash!

This day of fun was made possible by Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) and the LA Galaxy Foundation, who joined forces with Shoes That Fit to make a difference for children in unserved communities.

Treats-n-Suites hosted over 1,000 children ages two-through-eleven to Dignity Health Sports Park for Halloween activities which included  trick-or-treating, hayrides, carnival games, and a costume parade! The children also enjoyed activations from the Wildlife Learning Center and Melissa’s Produce.

Each student tried on their new Adidas sneakers, fitted just for them. The kids traveled from Carson, Compton, and the greater Los Angeles area.

The kids tested out their new shoes on the soccer field. They even got to meet pro soccer players Lucas Calegari and Jalen Neal! The Galaxy mascot, Cozmo, was also there helping kids try on their shoes, taking photos, and playing with the kids.

“We are excited to host our sixteenth annual Treats-n-Suites Halloween Bash at Dignity Health Sports Park,” said Tamala Lewis, Sr. Director of Community Relations at Dignity Health Sports Park. “This event is a special day for our local community as we come together to provide a safe place for children to enjoy the Halloween festivities at one of the best facilities in Southern California. This year, we wanted to increase our positive impact in the community by hosting a shoe giveaway at Galaxy Park for underserved local youth in partnership with PHLY and Shoes That Fit. We are beyond thankful to all of our partners who have come together to organize a special evening of celebration for the local youth in our communities.”

PHLY Insurance found Shoes That Fit from the research work of their ‘23 Summer Associates. These interns were tasked with the challenge of finding a non-profit mission that aligns with PHLY Foundation’s mission and vision, where PHLY could serve a community in need outside their usual Philadelphia area.

PHLY Insurance will also provide brand new Adidas shoes this fall to 232nd Place School & STEMM Magnet and Catskill Avenue Elementary School in Carson, helping an additional 200 children.

The partnership between PHLY Insurance, the LA Galaxy Foundation, and Shoes That Fit is a heartening reminder of how corporate responsibility and community engagement can create lasting, meaningful impact. By providing over 500 children from underserved neighborhoods with brand-new Adidas sneakers and an unforgettable day of Halloween festivities, these organizations are helping address basic needs while also giving kids moments of joy and confidence.

Events like the Treats-N-Suites Halloween Bash go beyond just fun—they embody the spirit of inclusion and support.

For many of these children, it’s not just about a pair of shoes; it's about being seen, valued, and included. That PHLY's Summer Associates played a role in identifying this initiative shows how even internships can be a launchpad for impactful decisions that ripple through entire communities.

The thoughtful act of giving is also a reflection of the broader insurance industry’s evolving role in society—moving from reactive support in times of loss to proactive involvement in community well-being.

It’s a model that resonates with individuals and families seeking meaningful service and protection from their insurers.

When looking to make informed decisions about personal coverage, from auto to home insurance, it’s important to consider providers who reflect these same values of care and community. That’s why many people choose to visit SimplyQuote Insurance—not only for transparent comparisons and reliable options but also because the platform emphasizes customer empowerment and responsible service.

Whether you're safeguarding your assets or supporting initiatives that bring hope to children, the connection between strong coverage and community uplift is clearer than ever.

Thank you, PHLY Insurance and LA Galaxy, for bringing shoes and smiles to 500 kids!
