On Saturday, Feb. 19th 200 kids in Vegas got brand-new shoes!

The kids got to play on an inflatable obstacle course, slide down a huge slide, and climb inside of hamster balls and roll around. The kids also played basketball, soccer, street hockey, and football!

Jennifer Azzi, a former player with the Las Vegas Aces women’s basketball team, came to see the kids. She brought along her Olympic gold medal from 1996 and let one of the little guys wear it, saying “You kids might wear Olympic medals one day!”

A high school mariachi band came and played, and then each band member got new shoes!

County Commissioner Tick Segerblom also attended the event. He shared: “New shoes can be very expensive for families struggling to make ends meet, it is great to see these organizations come together to give so many local kids the shoes they need and take some financial stress off of hard-working families.”
