Annual Nordstrom Campaign Raises More Than $1 Million for New Shoes!
Congratulations to Nordstrom employees and customers for successfully raising more than $1 million to provide new Nike shoes to 50,000 kids at hundreds of schools across the country. This year’s campaign was the most successful to date in our thirteen-year partnership.
Nordstrom employees volunteered at eight elementary schools in Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, and Seattle. Professional and college athletes along with team mascots attended the donation events to the delight of the students!
Twins Teens Give Back in Hawthorne, CA
Sadie and Quinn are 14 year-old, eighth grade twins. Julie, their mom, wanted to find a project for them to learn about ways to give back: she had already volunteered with the National Charity League with Sadie and Quinn’s older sister, Aisley, and wanted to find a local charity that fit the twins’ interests. They are both athletes – Sadie is in water polo, and Quinn plays baseball – so were thinking about helping underserved kids with accessing sports programs.
