We all face certain challenges.
For adults, it’s often easy to go to work and leave personal problems at home for the day.
When you’re a child, it’s your ‘job’ to go to school – to learn, play and explore. For many kids, it’s hard to hide the problems that are out of your control.
That’s what happened to Victor. Victor is a young boy whose family was poor and he was forced to go to school wearing his grandmother’s shoes. “Everybody was making fun of me and saying I wore girl’s shoes. It was very embarrassing,” says Victor.
Victor received shoes through the Shoes That Fit program and was able to attend school with a renewed sense of dignity.
