The streets of Manhattan are very different than the open skies and snow-covered mountains of Utah, but kids in both places were helped by Bridge Investment Group this spring. The real estate investment company is giving back in their five service areas across the county. With the tagline Bridge Boots-on-the-Ground, they make a perfect pair with Shoes That Fit!

“Bridge Investment Group has always prided itself on being at the forefront of community revitalization, and we are thrilled to partner with Shoes That Fit to create the “Bridge Boots-on-the-Ground” program, sponsoring six elementary schools nationwide across the Bridge local footprint. Child Welfare is one of Bridge’s four charitable pillars, along with Enabling Housing, Education and Environmental Sustainability, and this new program will support, inspire and enable over 1,200 children in need across Bridge communities.” Inna Khidekel – Partner, Bridge Investment Group and the Chair of the Bridge Charitable Giving Committee

With a $35,000 grant, Bridge Investment Group is helping kids across the country, in all their service areas: New York, their native Salt Lake City, and this fall in Orlando, Atlanta, and the Bay Area in California.

Bridge employees came out in April to help hand out news shoes to almost 500 students at Meyer London School (also known as PS 2) in lower Manhattan. Kids assembled in the school gym and were excited to get new kicks. The kids thanked Bridge with hand-made signs and banners.

And just last week, the Bridge team came out to help at L. Bennion and Majestic schools in the Salt Lake City area. Kids were given new athletic shoes measured specifically for them, and Bridge employees lent a hand to make sure the shoes fit just right.

“We love helping kids and helping them improve their education and get them excited about their future.” Shared Micah Brown, Director of Operations for Bridge.

Bridge believes in empowerment, and their work in giving kids shoes empowers them to reach their full potential, in the classroom and in life.
